To protect the primary capsule from environmental factors such as desiccation, a secondary step is required for the production of liquid core microcapsules. The resulting capsule can be seen in the picture below:

Beside the enhancement of mechanical stability, the functional shape also improves the usability, the capsule - system is completely dry from the outside. From the outside, it can see the functional coating, which reduces the drying of the capsule and offers an environmental effect protection.

The coating is realized by the Wuster fluidized bed coating method. The functional coating is applied.
